Facebook Questions = unwanted, intrusive, and ridiculous spam (UPDATED!!!)

Many of you out there probably have a Facebook account; if you're like me, you've managed to figure out how to turn off all of the spam notifications that show up on your news feed all the time, from garbage apps like Farmville, Mafia Wars, and the like... but just a few days ago, I was hit with non-stop "poll-like" questions that I could not get rid of - at least, the app that spawned them had no visible way of blocking it. Little did I know, that this is an actual Facebook platform app, called "Facebook Questions"; and I was correct - there is NO WAY to opt out of this incessant garbage that clutters up my news feed; it's no more than unwanted and intrusive SPAM. You can read about it here, at a couple of FB developer blogs...

http://www.facebook.com/blog.php?post=10150110059982131 , and http://www.facebook.com/blog.php?post=411795942130 - I hope these people aren't the mental defectives responsible for this insufferable blight on the already colossal time waster known as Facebook... at any rate, my suggestion would be to report every instance of these insipid questions showing up on your walls, as precisely what they are - unsolicited spam. I'm sure Facebook would appreciate hearing what their users really think of this invasive intrusion into their daily usage of Facebook. If they won't let us opt out, at least we can help them classify their garbage for what it really is.

UPDATE - you can avoid this evil Questions spam, and help clean up Facebook in general, to make it look and work the way YOU want, with a fantastic plugin called F. B. Purity. It works with most legitimate web browsers (not Internet Explorer, because that's a festering pile of shit). If you like it, you can donate to the author, but it's free regardless; check it out at www.fbpurity.com
