Ineffective trolls - who pays for this stuff?

There have been comments over the years that the myriad of trolls who have supported the alternate-reality SCOXQ.PK worldview, are actually *paid* to try to disrupt discussion of their blatant fraud/extortion/stock scam/pump and dump scheme. While I understand _why_ they would attempt to do this, the bottom line is that it just didn't work. The discussions have not been hindered in the slightest, the pathetically transparent astro-turfing has failed miserably, and because of it, world + dog knows that, without a doubt, SCOXQ.PK is a complete and total failure, and the FUD they have tried to spread just isn't working - do you think the netbook market would have taken off as rapidly as it has, with the FUD-based threat of having to pay $699 (over TWICE the cost of the netbook itself!) to a bunch of all hat, no cattle shysters, just to run Linux? Would Google be the powerhouse it is today, if they had been stupid enough to drink the SCOSource Kool-Aid that the Head Idiot at EV1 did?

There is also the performance of their stock to ridicule. CALD used to be a stock that sold at over $130 a share - and now SCOXQ.PK, the empty shell of what used to be a somewhat respectable company, is selling for $0.16 a share. This is a level of epic fail so massive that it could possibly generate a black hole. Untold hundreds of MILLIONS of dollars have been lost on this fraud scheme. RedHat, however, continue to actually make money on Linux. It has done what SCOXQ.PK, and Darl McBride, have NEVER done - generated a profit.

What have the trolls contributed to this? Nothing but entertainment to the rest of us. Thanks to them, I have learned more than I thought possible about all kinds of topics - peyote, hallucinogenic toads, rhodium, unfettered greed (and incompetence), homophobia, crickets, goats, and how to spot fake Indians from a mile away.

All in all, it has been a very interesting past 6 years or so, and the end of this particularly disgusting chapter is drawing near. It has become quite clear that the wounded are lashing out with more bile and vitriol as the noose tightens, and the next year is going to be filled with even more vile and inhumane attacks; nothing says class and integrity like making fun of disabled people...
It will not be long, however, before the whole lot of them will be shut down for good, so get out the popcorn, and put the bubbly on ice; we are going to party like it's 2009!
