Since there are a few people still trying to spread the "unix code in Linux" FUD recently, I feel it is important to revisit the thorough debunking of that FUD by none other than Bruce Perens. He's well known throughout the FOSS community, and has stood up to FUD and false accusations before, and been proven correct every time. You can read his appraisal here;
